Dexterity - Dexterity determines Block chance and attack rating.The melee damage isn't too important for this type of build, so really just focus on getting enough Strength to equip the best gear possible. Strength - Strength determines what type of gear your Barbarian can wear, as well as how much melee damage you do.For Items that really get the build going, it really doesn't require much, but Breath of the Dying Runeword Weapons push a Whirlwind Barb over the edge, with Life Leech, Mana Leech, and a chance at Poison Nova on kill, this Runeword is a monster in the weapon slot.
While not necessarily a "Key Item" it is an absolutely powerful piece for any Whirlwind Barb.

The Build has a lot of strengths when it comes to clear speed, really only needing some Mana Leech to keep the spin going. This build is all about Whirlwind and keeping it up for as long as possible. Whirlwind Barb is a very popular Barbarian Build, because of how strong the build is in the early difficulties such as Normal and Nightmare, as well as how straight forward it plays.
